Set of six Arts & Crafts high back arm chairs in oak as retailed by Liberty. Please see Daryl Bennett's book on Liberty furniture. Offered in good original condition. The drop in faux leather seats of the armchairs show some wear but have many years of wear left in them as add character to the chairs. The singles have replaced faux leather so are slightly different. They are all firm. One single has some old and re treated woodworm holes to one underside of a seat. They have not been stripped so there are some scuffs as would be expected so condition of the finish is not perfect. Dimensions of the carvers - height 120cms. Arm height 72cms. Arts & Crafts oak bookcase with Gothic arches to sides. It stands 126cms in height with a width of 62cms and depth of 22cms. The height of all the shelves is 30cms. Offered in good original condition and has not been stripped so there are a few marks to the top shelf as shown. There is also a slight candle burn to the very top. Registration mark to the back indicating a good maker.

Pretty oak cabinet originally designed as a smoker's cabinet with a fitted interior and a draw, hence the inlaid pipe on the front door. This would make a delightful bedside cabinet or be useful in any room. A well made and good quality item. Offered in good condition with a very minor burn to top which can hardly be seen. Arts & Crafts Japanese carved table for Liberty. These tables were imported from Japan at the turn of the century as part of their exotic range mostly carved with a floral design. This table is one of the original ones and not a reproduction of which there are many in circulation just now. Offered in a good used original condition but with a slight warp to top. Arts & Crafts arm chair in oak with a triple spade piercings to back - a design used in much of Liberty's designs. Offered in a good and firm condition, it has been fairly recently upholstered. This type of boxes have been made from the base of a wardrobe so are not totally authentic but never the less the adaption and upholstery has been well done and this serves perfectly at the end of a bed for storage. Unusual Arts & Crafts oak bookcase with piercings sides. The top stands proud of the shelves at the back. This was done to prevent books from getting any dampness from the walls in the early 20th century. Offered in excellent condition with just one minor mark to top. A good quality and sturdy bookcase. Height 108cms, Width 87cms. Depth 29cms. The height of all the bookshelves is 25cms.

Delightful Arts & Crafts oak dresser made by Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple. The locks are stamped to the doors and work with a registration number to the back. This has lovely copper handles and strap hinges. The original bottle holder has been removed from the right cupboard and a small upper shelf put in place. This dresser is complete and never had a top. Offered in excellent original colour and condition. Height 111cms. Width 154cms. Depth 52cms. Serving height 94cms.

A delightful Arts & Crafts oak desk with matching chair. The desk has two drawers to the gallery with the centre pierced heart cut in burr oak. It has its original tooled leather to the table. All the handles are copper. All has been stripped and waxed to a lovely soft golden colour. The chair has been newly upholstered in William Morris fabric.
