An unusual Arts & Crafts pegged oak buffet on ceramic castors with pierced hearts to top and sides, very much in the Liberty style which looks good from any angle. This has an oak panelled back. The top shelf is fixed but the lower shelf has metal fixings allowing the shelf to be adjusted as desired. More images available on request. This does show signs of being loved and used so not in a pristine condition. No worm and no breaks but it does have scuffs and there are marks to the top. Pretty Arts & Crafts pewter casket with raised ivy leaf decoration to the top with a centre turquoise cabochon. This is cedar lined and opens lengthways. One side of the interior is slightly raised. Probably made for cigarettes but would make a perfect trinket of jewellery box. Offered in good condition with a height of 7cms. The width is 15cms and the depth 10cms.

an unusual Arts & Crafts oak plant stand that appears to have been made in metal as it's carefully screwed sections to each of the sides give the impression that it is not wood. I have not cleaned the brass screw heads at the sides but this could be done if desired. This stands firm and would be perfect for a plant or as a small table beside a chair for drinks. Offered in good original. condition however the ply back which is probably not original has numerous paint splashed and a few historic surface worm holes long dead and these do not show to the front. Pretty Arts & Crafts two tiered oak table or plant stand with an hexagonal top and standing on four legs pierced with a tulip and leaves. This design was used by Liberty and I am attributing this tbale to them. Offered in good original condition with a historic scratch to one side at the top. Height 64cms. The top measures 35cms x 32cms.

A stunning large Arts & Crafts oak desk in the Gothic style with truly amazing iron strap and lock detail with the front of the door having an unusual carving. The doors open to reveal two sliding shelves to the left and one to the right. The locks are of excellent quality each having its own unique key. Offered in a good used condition with a new leather. There is some minor pitting to the oak at the back of the top. The oak is a little thirsty and we are still polishing! This desk is very heavy and great quality, The metalwork is spectacular and obviously made by a master craftsman. Width 139cms. Height 77cms. Depth 84cms. Knee hole height 58cms. The two drawers have an inner measurement of 28cms wide and 9cms deep. The middle drawer has a width of 54cms.

Arts & Crafts copper tobacco jar made by J & P Pool of Hayle in Cornwall. This has a Glasgow school motif to each of its sloping sides and is unusually heavy for its size. Offered in good original condition with just a small ding to the lid. Height to top of lid 13cms. The base measures 13cms square and is 11cms square at the lid.

Large Arts & Crafts copper mirror in the Glasgow school style with insects tendrils sweeping out from the top corners and a large stylised dragonfly at the base in the style of Margaret Gilmour. Offered in excellent condition with great patina and has possibly never been cleaned. Superbly made and very heavy with its original bevelled edged mirror plate. Would of course easily be cleaned if desired. Height 74cms. Width 50cms. Depth 2.5cms

An unusual pair of oak bookends carved in the style of Mouseman but with a pair of spaniels? They have the same adzed work as the Yorkshire critters but I cannot find a maker who made dogs, Excellent quality and workmanship. Offered in excellent condition standing 16cms high. Uncertain age but probably the 1980's

An unusual Arts & Crafts wrought iron table or plant stand with a copper top and beaten copper panels to four sides with a brass motif added. Offered in good original condition, the top has a slight lighter mark where a pot has stood on it. Happy to clean if desired. Perhaps the iron could be repainted but I have preferred to leave it showing some age. This stands very firmly and would take a large plant or heavy item. Height 70cms. The extended top measures 35cms square.

Lovely Arts & Crafts copper lidded tobacco jar decorated in the Glasgow school design with hearts and honesty leaves. Made by J & F Pool of Hayle in Cornwall, this jar is heavier than the usual with a weighted ceramic lid to keep the tobacco dry. Nice studded detail to sides and base. Offered in good condition. Height to top to lid 15cms. Diameter at base 15.5cms.

Elegant Art Nouveau armchair in walnut with mother of pearl and exotic wood inlay to back. A lovely design with sweeping arms and offered in good condition except for the recently upholstered seat having a few stains. Height 99cms. Width at arms 58cms. Depth . Seat height 44cms.

Pretty Arts & Crafts two handled copper vase adorned with various stylised leaves. Offered in good original condition and stands firm but the base on one side has some knocks as can be clearly seen in the last images. Nevertheless it displays well. Most probably made by the Yattendon home industries or possibly the Newton school. Height 24.5cms Width at handles 17cms. Diameter at base 12cms.

Rare and stunning Arts & Crafts oak Liberty Athelstan corner hall wardrobe with a stencilled panel to the front of a woodland scene with a moon shining through. The extended corners have a cut out heart. Probable made by Shapland & Petter who frequently featured stencilled scenes on their furniture. This same robe is shown in Daryl Bennetts book on Liberty furniture. My apologies for bad lighting - the stencilled panel is much more vivid in the flesh so to speak. Offered in excellent untouched condition with minor sun bleaching to centre of door. There is one tiny chip to top above the right door hinge The lower interior shelf has been removed. The ivorine label to the reverse reads Liberty & Co Ltd London W. Height at top of corner hearts 188cms. Height of robe at top with out hearts 173cms. Width between front edges 88cms. Depth from back corner to front 62cms.

Beautiful Arts & Crafts sconce made by John Pearson (1859 - 1930) and impressed with JP and the date of 1895. A pair of his typical mythical birds look upwards to stylised leaves and flowers. The two candle holders form flower heads with eight petals spanning out, Offered in excellent condition and patina. Height 33cms. Width 27cms. Depth 15cms.

Spectacular Arts & Crafts copper fireplace with matching fender adorned with ceramic cabochons and made by J & F Pool of Hayle in Cornwall. This company was founded when their father, James Tinman Pool at Copperhouse, Hayle in Cornwall acquired this company then the Cornish hand Wrought Copper in the late 1880's This originally came out of the music room in a hotel in Penzance now demolished and has been in my possession for some years in my conservatory as too big for any of my fireplaces. With regret I am putting it up for sale as need to pay for a new thatch roof! It measures 139cms high. 202cms wide at the top and 158cms wide at the base. The depth at the top is 31cms. There are two copper pillars to each side of the wonderful central floral repousse work. The top has a row of hearts all around. The hood is the only thing that lifts off, otherwise it is all in once piece with a oak? backing so it very heavy. Such a thing of beauty should be in a museum or in an Arts & Crafts house where it could be admired by many. Please note that the peacock fire screen made by the Newton school near Cambridge is not part of the fireplace nor included in the price but sits nicely there. This can be viewed in Honiton and a condition report given to any serious purchaser.
